What is Proposition 65?

Proposition 65 (formally known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986) is a law in the State of California that requires businesses to provide warnings about significant exposures to chemicals that may cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.

This law applies to all businesses selling products in or shipping products to California — even small businesses like ours.

Why Do Our Products Carry a Warning?

Some of the materials used in automotive electrical components — such as wiring, connectors, or housings — may contain trace amounts of chemicals like lead or phthalates. While exposure levels in our products are generally very low, California law requires us to provide this warning to keep customers informed.

The Required Warning

⚠️ WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including lead, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.

What This Means for You

  • The presence of a Proposition 65 warning does not necessarily mean a product is unsafe.

  • California requires the warning even if the risk is extremely small.

  • We include this notice to stay compliant and transparent, especially for customers in California.
